The story behind Nature Noticed
Original nature photography by Alan Pick
Nature Noticed is an independent UK photography business operated by Alan Pick, a sole trader based in Wales, United Kingdom. It is built around original photographs of wildlife, plants, woodland, water, weather and landscapes. Every image used on a Nature Noticed product is an original photograph by Alan Pick rather than stock artwork or a generic decorative pattern.
The aim is simple: notice the details that are easy to walk past. Photographs are captured in natural light and developed with restrained processing so colour, texture, atmosphere and the character of the original scene remain central to the finished image.
Photography first
Nature Noticed begins with the photograph, not the product. Subjects range from botanical close-ups and woodland texture to animals, dramatic skies and distinctive South Wales scenes. The product is chosen as a way to present that photograph in a practical, wearable or displayable format.
The cameras behind Nature Noticed
Nature Noticed photographs are captured using Sony Alpha cameras, including the A350 and A35. The approach is simple: preserve natural colour and visible texture, then use careful editing to reveal the detail already present in the photograph.
